‘None of city’s hazardous waste disposal units comply with rules’

The Delhi government has informed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that all the 1,100 units for disposal of hazardous waste in the Capital do not comply with rules on management of such waste. Open dump yards may be a thing of the past in Gurugram

All open dump yards in the city will soon be replaced by fully covered transfer stations equipped to manually sort out mixed waste and transport refuse to Bandhwari processing plant in closed containers.
